&lt;br /&gt;
There are two basic modes of Communication System :-&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1. Point to point communication :- The communication in which, there is one transmitter and one receiver is known as Point to point communication. Example :- Telephone&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Broadcast Communication  :- The communication  in which there is one transmitter but many recievers is know as Brodcast Communication. Example :- Radio and Television.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Basic terminology used in electronic communication system :-&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1. Transducer :- It is a device used to convert one form of energy into another. Example :- Microphone and Loudspeaker.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Attenuation :- Loss of strength of signals while propagating through medium is known as Attenuation.&lt;br /&gt;
