Pashupatinath, or Pashupati, is the most important Hindu temple in Kathmandu Metropolis, the funds of Nepal. Found on the banking companies of the Bagmati River some a few kilometers from the center of city, Pashupatinath is devoted to Hindu God Shiva, or rather is a single of his manifestations. As some eighty five% of Nepal's population is Hindu, Pashupatinath is considered to be the protector or patron deity of Nepal.
