Despite them going out of time with regards to defending banks and other possessions, vault gates still have plenty of practical use within a domestic and industrial setting.
Websites and properties that have secure bedrooms installed, for example, specifically bigger one that are completely plated and safe, might use a vault door to close the room closed once everybody's inside, which makes it completely impregnable from the surface of the room and maintaining complete safety for those inside, for example storm shelter plans.

A vault door is not something to be mounted on a small shelter such as a tough wardrobe secure area, since the door itself would occupy more space than the rest of the shelter. Container doors need room to room and open for the mechanics necessary to close, so it is not quite typical in domestic use, at least not in smaller houses. Bigger family estates or mansions might have them given that they have plenty of space to free and the amount of money to cover for one on their secure room, or if a separate housing is built in the cellar additional room might be included for a home.

Since the vault door is heavily plated it can be extremely hard to push or pull by oneself. That's why many container opportunities use a hydraulic process if the command is provided to close and open themselves, whether through a keypad or an option. They lock up tight and are very resilient to force, including bombs and other explosives, making it near impossible to blow through one.
More precise efforts take a whole lot of time to manage and careful planning, something most burglars do not have the means or ability to do, to allow them to be remarkably safe on a worry room while providing added security in case of bombings and other domestic problems.
Over all they're much better than regular reinforced gates and a viable option for increasing security.
