Depending on the type of motorhome there may be permanent gas storage on-board which can be refilled at stations, just like LPG cars.<br>In fact, most states impose equipment requirements, most of them related to safety or environmental protection. These vary by state but may include approved tires, a spare tire, a portable air pump or properly charged air tanks for inflating the tires, a tire pressure gauge, a suitable jack and jack board, a shovel, a tow chain or rope, and a self-contained portable toilet. As with fishing licenses, a current beach vehicle permit must be available for viewing by law enforcement personnel upon request.<br>The basic unit has two fold outs, that are used as sleeping quarters.
