This recipe is definitely an experience for everyone, its type of unique and different from todays baking, today all you need to do is go to the market and pick something off of the shelf, place it in the stove and you have it.

Well Im old manner when it's something Im going to eat and enjoy, I need to do it and have hands on the old way.

OK enough jabber lets get on with the formula so we can appreciate it, remember your elements should be room temperature or near to it.

Components for dough:

5 cups unsifted flour

1 cup sugar

4 teaspoons baing dust

2 teaspoons baking soft drink

pinch of salt

pound butter softened

2 tablespoons vegetable shortening

4 egg yolks

pint sour cream

1 teaspoons vanilla

Materials for filling:

2 cups ground walnuts

cup sugar for nuts

jam or lekvar or anything you like

Look together 5 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, 4 teaspoons baking powder, 2 teaspoons baking soda.

Add the butter, reducing, 4 egg yolks, pint sour cream, 1 teaspoons vanilla and of course the pinch of salt.

Mix many of these ingredients in your processor or mixer.

Divide dough into 3 parts, move out the initial piece and put it onto a inch x 15 inch cookie sheet.

Mixture together:

2 cups ground walnuts

cup sugar for nuts

jam or lekvar or whatever you like

Spread some of this mixture onto the initial layer of dough, then roll out another piece of dough and place it on top of the filling, put some more of the filling on top of the next layer of dough, today with the third piece of dough roll it out and create a lattice top on your development.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes, cool and cut.
